What is PhishBowling?
PhishBowling is a project dedicated to fighting phishing, specifically by flooding the phisher's database with useless data.
How does it work?
Each PhishBowling client connects to a central database and retrieves a list of known phishing sites. The client then sends false data to the sites. The data looks just like valid data the phisher would get from a victim, however it is all randomly generated by the client. Hopefully by stocking the pond with enough decoy phish, the phishers will find that phishing takes more effort to pay off than its worth. At the very least, it will take more effort to find a legitimate victim.
